News | December 2025Microsoft to lower and raise CSP pricingMicrosoft lowers its CSP pricing per February 2026 with an average of 7.4%. This price decrease applies to Azure, Microsoft 365 and Dynamics 365. Note however, that this price decrease is temporarily. Per July 2026, prices for Microsoft 365 will be increased. Percentages range from 5% to 20% but peak up to 43%. There are several smart tactics that will help you save (future) costs or prevent the price increase to be applied to your subscription. For example, switching to annual triennial subscriptions.

Teams (re)added to Microsoft 365 bundles

After the EU forcing Microsoft to separate Microsoft 365 and Teams services, Microsoft changed it practice and as a result, Teams is available within your Microsoft 365 bundles subscription again (f.e. E5, E3 and Business Premium). In some cases, you could benefit from converting your subscriptions into one. Our advice, check it, specifically taking the news of Microsoft price changes in mind.

Re-evaluate your agreement type (EA/MCA-E to CSP)

For years, many organizations (>250-500 seats) signed Enterprise Agreements (EA) or Microsoft Customer Agreement - Enterprise (MCA-E) with Microsoft or Large Service Providers (LSPs). This ensured discounts and multi-year price protection. Recently, Microsoft started to increase thesholds for EA/MCA-E while adding price protection mechanisms to CSP. As a result, many organizations up to a 1000 seats may be better of utilizing the CSP/NCE model. We’d recommend you to always request a quote and compare both contract models (EA vs CSP).
